Acceptance of Contributions & Gifts Policy

The acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of Oneness Foundation. The Foundation will not accept any gift unless it can be used or allocated in alignment with its purpose and mission.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in nature, will be accepted if it could reasonably jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

Oneness Foundation will not provide advice regarding the tax implications or other treatment of gifts. Donors are encouraged to seek guidance from their own professional advisers when making their donations.

The Foundation accepts donations of cash and publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services may also be accepted at the discretion of Oneness Foundation.

Certain other gifts, including real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions with opaque sources or restricted uses, will require review prior to acceptance due to potential obligations or liabilities they may create for Oneness Foundation.

Oneness Foundation will provide acknowledgment to donors for tax purposes for property that is received as a gift. However, no value will be ascribed to any receipt or other documentation for gifts received, except for cash and publicly traded securities.

Oneness Foundation respects the intent of donors regarding gifts for restricted purposes and the desire for anonymity. For anonymous gifts, information about the donor will be limited to only those staff members who require access.

Oneness Foundation will not compensate any third party through commissions, finders' fees, or other means for directing a gift or donor to the organization.
