🎓 Early Life and Academic Journey
Born on June 15, 1954, into the royal Odigbo family of Umurashi Umdei-Nkwesi in Lagos, young Dele began his educational journey at Aunty Ayo Nursery School, Ebute-Metta. His formative years were shaped by the cultural richness of both Yoruba and Igbo traditions. Despite the disruptions of the Nigerian Civil War, he pursued his education with unwavering determination, attending Trinity High School, Oguta, and later earning a Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with distinction in mathematics.
His academic pursuits led him to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained a B.Sc. in Business Administration, followed by an MBA in Marketing, and multiple doctoral degrees in Business Administration, Church Management, and Public Policy. He is a Professor of Business Administration, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCMA), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Commerce (FCIN).
